What we are providing

Refreshing sailing, sailing training, and exciting playful competition between boats provide plenty of topics for workplace coffee table discussions, based on our experience.

Chasing Race doesn't require previous sailing experience. Each boat is accompanied by a professional skipper who ensures safety and provides tips for the crew. The sailing route for the day is always chosen according to the winds, sheltered by islands, so seasickness is not a concern.

The main focus is on a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The only equipment needed is wind and rain-resistant outdoor clothing and light-colored outdoor shoes.

We use 35-45 foot racing and/or cruising boats. Each boat can accommodate 5-10 people, and the event is organized with 2-10 boats.

The day begins with a gathering at the harbor, where teams and boats are assigned. Then everyone participates in a skipper meeting to go over the course of the competition, rules, and safety issues.

After this, the teams move to their boats, and our guiding skipper from aQuablue divides each team into roles based on the boat's operating functions: starboard (right side of the boat), port (left side of the boat), and steering/navigation teams.

Sailing instructions are provided through action, and within the teams, people switch tasks according to the guiding skipper's instructions during the competition. This allows everyone to steer the boat and trim the sails. During the day, participants learn what a fender knot is and how to tack.

Chasing Race works in such a way that each boat has its own start time based on the boat's rating (LYS/ handicap). The slowest boat starts first and the fastest last. Therefore, the boat that crosses the finish line first is the winner. The winning team gets to celebrate with a toast as the boats dock.

The starting times and departure/return locations are arranged according to your company's schedule.

At the end of the competition, your group can gather at a common location and enjoy a barbecue, archipelago, or crayfish dinner.
